Getting to Bar, Montenegro for 16 September 2026.
The cheapest route
The most affordable way to reach Montenegro is flying into Podgorica (TGD) with Air Serbia via Belgrade. Direct flights from most European capitals are limited or expensive — the Belgrade connection is consistently the best value.
As a reference: Lisbon → Podgorica with Air Serbia runs around €200–300 round-trip depending on dates. We strongly recommend booking as soon as you can — prices climb sharply as the date approaches.
Other airports
- Podgorica (TGD) — 1h drive to Bar · best for Air Serbia / regional carriers
- Tivat (TIV) — 1h 30min drive · seasonal direct flights from London, Vienna, Frankfurt
- Dubrovnik (DBV) — 2h drive (border crossing) · widest selection of direct EU flights
Airport transfers
We will provide airport transfers on the day before, day of, and day after the wedding — both pickups to your accommodation and drop-offs after the celebration. Let us know your arrival details in the RSVP form so we can coordinate the schedule.
Renting a car
We recommend renting a car if you plan to explore. Local public transport is limited and infrequent, especially between coastal towns. Compact rentals run €25–40/day from Podgorica or Tivat airport. EU and most international driving licenses are accepted.
For an easy option we recommend Sit N Go, a local agency. Message them on Instagram (@sitngo.me) and mention you were recommended by Marko Vuković from Hotel Palace to get a discount.
Montenegro drives on the right side. Roads are generally good along the coast; mountain roads (to Kotor, Lovćen) are scenic but slower.
